Unique is an open, supportive community for people who are looking to learn, share lived experiences and connect with others whose life has been touched by rare chromosome or gene disorders. We are here to support and celebrate people living truly unique lives. We are Unique… and so are you.

Story

For the third year, I'm embarking on the London to Paris cycle, a journey incredibly close to my heart, all for Unique. As many of you know, Unique isn't just another charity to me; it stands for the vital support that families need when facing the complexities of rare chromosome disorders. In 2022, our world shifted when our son, Beau, was diagnosed with 15Q Duplication Syndrome. Hearing those words – 'your child has a disability' – is an experience no parent can truly prepare for. It's a moment that changes everything, and the path forward can feel overwhelming.

I'm driven to support Unique because I know the incredible difference they make in the lives of families navigating these challenges. The generosity you've shown over the past two years has been truly humbling, and it's fueled my determination to continue fundraising. Every pound raised helps Unique provide vital resources, information, and a sense of community. Please, help me make a difference in the lives of children like Beau and support Unique in their mission to ensure that no family faces the challenges of a rare chromosome disorder alone.
