Story
We met Meredith and her family when Ellie started at the same school as Meredith’s big brother Jaxon. Yet when it came to Meredith’s turn to start school, she wasn’t able to start Reception year with her peers. At just 4 years old, she received a diagnosis of a form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Meredith endured over 2 and a half years of chemotherapy and was finally able to ring the bell in January 2026. She took everything on with such bravery and determination, as well as wanting to bring fun and happiness to the children and staff on the oncology ward.
Meredith’s family started Meredith’s Mission with a view to providing wraparound support for other families going through the cancer journey, such as creative therapies for the children, counselling, respite opportunities, family days, and nourishment throughout the long hospital stays.
George and Ellie will be taking on the 2026 Bournemouth Bay Run in support of Meredith’s Mission - George has entered for the 10K and Ellie will be joining Meredith herself on the 1K Run. We’d love for you to support us in our fundraising for Meredith’s charity.
