I am running the London marathon for The Salvation Army with the money I raise going specifically to Cardiff Young People’s Homeless services. My mum has worked for The Salvation Army for over 30 years and I’m proud to help raise money where I know it will have a significant impact. They provide support and accommodation for young people aged 16 – 21. These young people have experienced much trauma and adversity in their childhood and The Salvation Army provides safe, therapeutic and supportive accommodation for them which enables the young people to gain the social, emotional and practical skills to transition to adult life, and to move on towards successful and sustainable independent living.
