George Avison is raising money for Chardi Kala

1000 pullups & 1000 press-ups during the 28 days of February 2026

We are a small charity that provides small grants to individuals living with Parkinson’s. The grants will enable patients to purchase equipment that they may otherwise not have been in a position to have and aid their inclusion within society to live with a positive ‘can – do’ attitude to life.

Story

Hi I'm George and I am 14 years old.

This February I am undertaking my own personal challenge to complete 1000 pull-ups and 1000 press-ups in just 28 days to raise money for Chardi Kala.

Chardi Kala is a registered charity that supports people living with Parkinson's disease by helping them to afford equipment to make their day to day lives easier. It was created in memory of Dr Darminder Singh Chadha MBE who suffered from Parkinson's for the last 20 years of his life.

I found out about Chardi Kala through my school. It has been our house charity for the last year and I have been inspired by hearing about all of the joy that the charity has brought to people because of their support.

This is going to push me not only physically but also mentally (especially when it comes to self motivation, so any help with that would be very much appreciated).

Any donations, no matter the size, would mean so much to me personally and help the charity support those with this debilitating disease.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my challenge,

George.
