Story
In April 2026 I will be running London Marathon for MIND
Earlier this year, my wife Emily was admitted to hospital for 8 months with severe depression — an illness she had hidden from everyone including her closest friends and family. She continued to work as a doctor, helping others while silently struggling herself.
I'm running in support of MIND, a charity that offers life-saving support for people living with mental health challenges. The work they do is vital — not only in moments of crisis, but also in breaking the silence, shame, and stigma that so often surround mental illness. I hope in time people are able to talk about mental health as openly as physical health problems.
Emily was due to run the London Marathon in 2025 but had to defer her place while receiving the care she needed. It’s been a long, painful, courageous journey — and I am incredibly proud of her and am glad to say that we will now be running the 2026 London Marathon together.
We are doing this for all those who are still suffering in silence, and every pound you donate helps someone else find the strength to reach out for help.
Please support us if you can. I cannot wait to cross that finish line together!
Thank you 💙
