Story
On 12th October, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice – a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart.
In October 2024, myself and family received the devastating news that my father had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). It’s a moment that changed everything. MND is a cruel, progressive illness that affects the brain and nerves, and there is currently no cure. Watching someone you love face this disease is heartbreaking – and something no family should have to go through.
St Christopher's has been a vital source of support for my dad and our family day in day out. They provide sessions of physiotherapy, guidance and assistance with steps going forward and supply equipment for future aided needs.
I’m taking on this challenge to show my support for him, to raise awareness, and to help fund vital research and services for those living with MND today.
This cause means so much to me and my family. Any donation – no matter how small – would mean the world.
Thank you for your support
