By some miracle, I was successful in gaining a place on the ballot for the London Marathon 2025 on my second attempt. I'm using this opportunity to raise money for a charity that means a lot to me and my wife Joanna, as it's how we came to welcome one of our lovely animals, Eve, into our life.

Across the UK, animals like Eve are subject to unsuitable conditions, and sadly many are never given the opportunity to live full, happy and healthy lives. The work that Blue Cross do in sheltering, fostering, rescuing and caring for animals is incredibly important - for many people pets can be an invaluable source of love, companionship and joy.

Our indoor free-roaming rabbit Eve was kept in appalling conditions as a youngster, the effects of which we still deal with today. Through Blue Cross, she has found her way into a loving home and we're grateful for every day we spend with her and our other rabbit Chester.
