Story
Running the London Marathon has always felt like an incredible challenge, but on Sunday 25th April 2027, I'll be taking on those 26.2 miles for someone very special – my Mum, our beloved Nanny Sparkles.
The marathon falls exactly two years and two days after we lost her, making this journey even more meaningful. Every step I take will be in her memory and in honour of the amazing person she was.
Last year, I stood on the sidelines watching my brother, Can, complete the London Marathon and raise an incredible amount of money. I couldn't have been prouder. Seeing his determination and the difference he made inspired me to challenge myself and do the same.
Although Mum never had the opportunity to receive support from Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care, I know just how important charities like this are. They provide compassionate care, comfort and dignity to people approaching the end of their lives, while also offering invaluable support to the families who are walking that difficult journey alongside them.
By running the London Marathon, I hope to raise as much money as possible to help Phyllis Tuckwell continue the incredible work they do, ensuring more families receive the care, kindness and support they need when it matters most.
If you're able to support me, whether through a donation or simply by cheering me on, I would be so grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
This marathon is for Mum. For Nanny Sparkles. Every mile, every step and every finish-line emotion is for her.
Thank you for helping me honour her memory.
