Story
C3 boys are raising money for Winston’s Wish this year through hosting a Charity Day (a House lunch/ concert for parents combined with our annual Footy competition). This is an incredible charity which makes a difference to thousands of young people whose worlds are turned upside down. They provide digital bereavement information, advice and support for young people across the UK who are grieving the death of someone important to them. They also help advise the adults who are caring for young grieving people including parents, school staff and healthcare professionals. We are raising funds for this incredible charity in memory of David Latief, father of Freddie in the Remove year – a Villa supporter through and through and a wonderful man.
Freddie's note: "Hi everyone. This is my JustGiving page for a charity called Winston's Wish, which aims to help young children, teenagers and adults with grief and losing close members of your family. Considering that me and my family have experienced the pain of losing a close member of our family, we know exactly what it feels like for someone struggling losing someone that you love. I would be very grateful if you could donate a small amount of money to help this charity to ensure that no one struggling with grief has to do it alone."
Every day across the UK, children and young people lose someone significant to them. The death of someone important can be the most traumatic experience a child or young person will ever face.
Winston’s Wish relies on voluntary charitable donations to support children and their families following the death of a parent, sibling or important person. Since 1992, they have helped tens of thousands of bereaved children and young people and, with your help, can help tens of thousands more during the most difficult time of their lives.
