Story
On 11th August 2016, my daughter Cadi arrived 7 weeks premature whilst we were visiting family in Abergavenny. Weighing only 4lbs she needed to spend some time in hospital. At 2 days old she was transferred via the Welsh Air Ambulance Service in a specialised incubator to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in North Wales where she spent three weeks in SCBU before we could finally bring her home! Watching her land was one of the most nerve wracking moments of my life. I said then that I wanted to do something to say thankyou and it’s only taken me 9 years but this year I am going to run the Chester Marathon to raise money for The Wales Air Ambulance Charity who sent us photos and reassured us during her flight, kept Cadi safe and brought her home for us!

The Wales Air Ambulance provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Any donations would be gratefully received.
