Story
This June, I’m taking on an incredible challenge to raise funds for CAFT – Changing Children’s Lives. I’m doing Death by Bicycle.
At the end of June 2025, I’ll embark on a four-day cycle across the breathtaking Julian Alps, covering a grueling 396 miles (638km) to the Adriatic Sea. Along the way, I’ll be climbing a total of 23,780 feet (7,250m) – averaging 100 miles per day. To make this even more of a challenge, I’ve postponed a crucial knee surgery to push myself to the limit and complete this ride (hopefully without collapsing halfway!).
So why am I doing this? Because of the remarkable work CAFT (Children's Adventure Farm Trust) does for children in need. CAFT supports children with a range of challenges, including severe disabilities, sensory impairments, terminal illnesses, and those facing heartbreaking circumstances like grief, abuse, and young caregiving roles.
Your support will help me endure this brutal journey, but more importantly, it will bring life-changing experiences to children who truly need it. Every donation, big or small, will directly help CAFT provide vital services and unforgettable adventures for these amazing kids.
I’ll be sharing updates from my ride, so you can follow along on this challenging yet meaningful journey.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a real difference in these children's lives! 😊
With gratitude,
George
