I am proud and excited to be fundraising for Barnardo’s, the UK's largest children’s charity, which supports thousands of young people and their families.

I have seen first hand how challenging life can be for children and their families who face issues like living in poverty, from my voluntary work as a School Governor and Trustee of a Multi Academy Trust. These issues significantly impact a child's education, wellbeing and mental health. I am passionate about helping children obtain the support they need to face life's challenges, enjoy their childhood and know that they are not alone.

The support that Barnardo's offers to children has inspired me to take on this challenge, to run my first Marathon, and to fundraise as much as I can to support their mission.
