The 2025 Norfolk Superhero challenge is supporting Norfolk Community Foundation's A Better Childhood Mission to get children active in Norfolk!

Story

This year I have chosen to take part in the Norfolk Superheroes with my Dad in a father and son team. Our sole ambition is to complete the race and have fun while doing it.

I think it is important on a year out not just to explore the world and gain new experiences but to also to take on new challenges, though slightly daunting such as a long race along the marshland and coast of North Norfolk.

I think one of the reasons I am doing this is because my Dad was worried I was spending too much time on a beach in Africa or south east Asia. Though the main reason is that I have always found it a challenge finding the drive to take on 45m bicycle ride let alone a 8m run, 5m kayak or a mile swim. This opportunity not only gives me a purpose to go out and complete these challenges but to also give back to the Norfolk community which I have grown up in.

This wonderful event is supporting Norfolk Community Foundation’s A Better Childhood mission to get Norfolk’s children active, so please do give for them.

How will your support help?

The Norfolk Superhero Fund will, for example, enable us to subsidise or even fully fund club memberships and kit, which would have otherwise been unaffordable, as well as fund much needed coaching and equipment. Did you know that a third of children in the UK can’t swim and the number is growing. This is just one example of how we plan to help.

So please do give for this wonderful charity and enjoying watching the Passable’s not pass out!
