On the 29th June 2024 George Plumb and Anneliese Treadwell, from the BMS London office as well as Ryan Welch and Elizabeth Bill from the BMS US office will taking part in the Lewa Safari Marathon, attempting to conquer 26.2 miles of dirt roads across the Savannah plains at nearly 6,000 feet above sea level.

In doing so we will be raising money for an outstanding charity in CoachCore.

Coach Core, is an employment and education charity that use the power of sport and apprenticeships to change the lives of young adults across the UK who may experience barriers, discrimination, and lack of opportunities. Coach Core work with national and local employers in the UK to support them in creating positive change in challenging communities, through high quality sport and physical activity delivered by young role models.

Coach Core have hit some amazing milestones as of late, some notable ones being:

Nearly 900,000 coaching sessions have been delivered to an estimated 12,147,805 participants.

950 apprentices have been helped to start meaningful careers, re-engage with education, and increase activity levels locally.
