Story
In April this year I will be running the Brighton Marathon, raising money for The Joe Dix Foundation along the way. I grew up playing football with Joe, he was the number 11 to my number 10 for years. Joe, like too many young people in and around Norfolk, was criminally exploited as a teenager, being drawn into violent gang culture, and in January 2022, Joe lost his life after being stabbed in Norwich by three lads the same age as him.
The Foundation was created by Joe's family in his memory, with a clear purpose: to raise awareness of child criminal exploitation and knife crime. The Foundation has already done significant work educating people in schools and local communities around Norfolk, as well as providing catastrophic bleed kits and knife-surrender bins to reduce the impacts of knife crime. Any donation would be greatly appreciated to help support the essential work the Foundation is doing. Thanks!
