I’m Running the London Marathon for Sue Ryder – 26 April 2026
In April 2026, I’ll be lacing up my trainers to run 26.2 miles through the heart of London.
But this challenge isn’t just about personal milestones or medals. I’m also running to raise awareness – and much-needed funds – for the Sue Ryder charity.
WHY SUE RYDER?
Sue Ryder is a lifeline for people going through the most difficult moments in life – whether that’s living with a terminal illness, coping with a life-changing neurological condition, or grieving the loss of a loved one.
Their teams provide:
- Specialist palliative care in hospices, at home, and in the community.
- Bereavement support, both one-to-one and online, helping people navigate grief with compassion and care.
- Neurological support for people with complex needs, offering dignity and independence at every stage.
In short, they are there when it matters most, giving people the strength, comfort, and humanity they deserve.
WHY I'M TAKING THIS ON
Running a marathon is no easy feat – there’ll be early mornings, sore legs, and probably a few blisters. But every step I take is for someone who’s receiving Sue Ryder’s care, or for someone who’s lost someone special.
With your support, we can help Sue Ryder continue their incredible work for the thousands of families who rely on their services every year.
Your donation, big or small, helps fund:
- A nurse’s care on a final day
- A bereavement counsellor’s support for someone struggling with loss
- A comforting meal in a hospice
- Equipment and therapy for people rebuilding life after a brain injury
Together, we can make a real difference.
Thank You…
