Help us raise £37,500 at our 2025 Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek so we can continue providing our services to people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families...

Story

Anybody that knows George & I, knows that we work hard/play hard , are passionate about travel, friendship & family, but also are not getting any younger!! So when a vey close friend (& fellow participant of this challenge, Heidi) said that she was doing this, we jumped at the opportunity, especially because Myton Hospice is where George’s sister, Betty, was fantastically cared for and spent her last days at, when she died at 60 years young.

She was one of the most warmest, loving & generous ladies you could ever meet, and will be by our side every step of the way!

Camping, outdoor weeing, & no alcohol is challenge enough for me, let alone 6 days of 6 - 8 hours challenging trekking (up to 10,000 ft) 10 -15 km per day, & training has begun!! So anything that you could donate we would be so, so grateful for!! A massive thank you in advance, and will be keeping you updated on our training progress via our blog, more details to follow.

MYTON HOSPICES

At Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.

Last year, we supported over 2,000 people and their families, in our hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
