Story
My name is George and on Monday 30th March, I will be climbing Mount Snowdon as part of a team challenge to raise funds towards my place on the U16 [Elite/Advanced] team trip to the Gothia Cup 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Gothia Cup is the world’s largest international youth football tournament, welcoming over 1,800 teams from more than 80 countries each year. It offers young players the opportunity to compete against elite international opposition while gaining valuable experience both on and off the pitch.
The Gothia Cup is a self-funded tour, with costs including:
• International flights
• Tournament entry fees
• Player registration
• Accommodation and meals
• Kit costs
Therefore, fundraising is essential to ensure all players can take part in this prestigious event.
Climbing Snowdon is a demanding physical and mental challenge and will be completed as a team activity, helping to build resilience, trust, and team bonding ahead of the tournament. It reflects the commitment and togetherness required to compete at an international level.
My minimum fundraising target is £200. Any contribution, however small, will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards supporting my participation in the Gothia Cup 2026. Sharing this page is also hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
George T.
