Georgette’s Favourite Dog Charity

Menzies & Lynne Clark is raising money for Give a Dog a Bone... and an animal a home
In memory of Georgette Maciver
We support the over 60s to afford a rescue pet companion. If money is a genuine barrier, we can pay the rehoming fee for a RESCUE animal and continue to support, each month, with the cost of pet food. 'Helping individuals through loneliness and animals through homelessness'.

Story

Everyone who met Georgette knew how much her beloved Molly Westie brought such love and joy into her life. They were devoted to each other.

Molly passed 6mths ago and now on Georgette’s passing, instead of funeral flowers, I know she would be so grateful for any donations to her favourite dog charity. Serendipity brought Molly Westie into Georgette’s life via the lovely folk at this Charity.

If you are a dog owner you know the love, companionship and joy dogs bring to their humans every single day. Sadly nowadays so many older people are prevented from dog ownership because the costs of purchase, vet bills, insurance, expenses make it almost impossible. So many elderly people who have given great homes to dogs for decades now face their golden years without furry friends. This charity raises money to help financial hardship costs of dog-ownership. Georgette was one of their beneficiaries with help for Molly’s vet bills.

On behalf of Georgette, now reunited with her beloved Molly Westie, thank you for any donations made at her funeral on 2nd Feb 2026.
