I have decided to push myself out of my comfort zone by running the Great North Run this September! I hope by doing so I can reach some personal goals mentally and physically, but also raise money for a charity close to my heart. Rape Crisis Tyneside are an incredible charity who support women and girls over the age of 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence. The work this charity does in our local area is completely essential- 1 in 4 women will experience sexual violence and 70% of female uni students. Survivors of sexual violence can access vital resources such as counselling, advocacy, and help line/chat services through this charity- and that's just the tip of the iceberg of the work Rape Crisis do! I don't think I would be the person I am today without being seen, heard and believed by the incredible individuals at Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland. Long story short, any sponsorship would be so greatly appreciated not just by me, but by a quarter of the women you know.
