Story
Since turning 18 I have taken part in multiple half marathons and running events to challenge myself. In 2024 i’m taking on my biggest challenge to date and pushing myself out of my comfort zone and taking part in the London Marathon 2024. I will be raising money for the mental health charity Mind. They are a fantastic charity who provide advice and support to empower people who are suffering from mental health issues. They are campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health. This is a cause that is close to me personally and I am passionate about.
I have chose to run for this charity as I have suffered with mental health conditions for a few years now and have been surrounded by a fantastic support network and I want to do this to challenge myself to help ensure everyone has someone to turn to when facing mental health as no one should have to face it alone. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year in England and the work that Mind do is amazing. The support they can offer is incredible and they are working every day to raise awareness of mental health. People need to know that they don't have to suffer alone and in silence, help is there and no one should ever feel that it is too much.
I will be taking part in the great north run 2023 and the manchester half 2023 aswell as the great north 10k and 5k this year as a start to my London Marathon training and fundraising. I will update my page as I go along the journey.
I really appreciate any donations anyone can make to help support this amazing charity.
See you in London💙
