We recently embarked on a trip to Kenya with the charity Inspire Afrika. The purpose of the trip was to help improve the conditions and facilities of a school in Malindi. It was a very rewarding and eye opening experience to see how much of an impact our funds and support can have on the children’s education and lives.

Alongside other volunteers, we spent the week replacing the roof of the school to ensure the children can learn whilst being sheltered from the elements, painted, cleaned and prepared the classrooms, provided lunch for the children and teachers, as well as painted a mural. We were also fortunate to be invited to visit the children in their homes where we delivered essential items that we take for granted. The staff and children are the happiest and smiliest of people and we hope that we are fortunate to go visit them again.

Prior to the trip, it was extremely hard to imagine or even consider how our visit would help or impact the school and we could not have realised the importance of the work that Inspire Afrika do. Further donations are always welcomed and are significantly important to continue the ongoing support through the charity for the children of The Clive Academy in Malindi. Any donations are much appreciated for future improvements of the school and aims of Inspire Afrika.
