Georgia's fundraiser for Spinal Research

Berlin Marathon 2024 · 29 September 2024 ·
I am joining #TeamSpinal to take on the Berlin Marathon 2024.
For the past four years I have had the pleasure of alongside two wonderful women, who suffered life changing injuries, caused by car accidents in their late twenties.
The willpower and determination that I have seen from them both is remarkable and highly inspiring, this ultimately led me to run the London marathon in 2022 in aid of spinal research.
Spinal research funds much needed studies into spinal cord injuries, creating a deeper understanding of paralysis, providing the possibility of much needed meaningful therapies.
One of the most recent studies was into the restoration of hand and arm function, which as you could imagine would be a massively positive improvement for someone with that level of injury.
Spinal Research is the UKs leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and we exist to beat paralysis.
Someone sustains a spinal cord injury every four hours in the UK.
Living with an SCI often means a lifetime of health and care costs, as well as the threat of secondary healthcare complications.
Spinal Research is the UKs leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and we exist to beat paralysis.
