Story
I’m doing a skydive, something that genuinely terrifies me, to raise money for a charity that means so much to our family: The Owen McVeigh Foundation.
When our beautiful boy Fabian was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma at just four years old, our lives were turned upside down. It’s an aggressive cancer that can double in size within 24 hours, and the months that followed were filled with intensive chemotherapy, hospital stays, fear, and uncertainty that no family is ever prepared for.
After Fabian had finished treatment, the Owen McVeigh Foundation came to us. At a time when the world expects life to simply “move on,” they were there, offering continued support, kindness, and understanding. They have given our family so many special memories and experiences, and through them we have met so many other families just like us, families who truly understand the journey and the emotions that come with it. That sense of connection and community has meant everything.
Fabian is now thriving, smiling, and living life to the fullest , something we once could only hope for. This skydive is my way of giving back to a foundation that supports families not just during treatment, but long after it ends.
So I’m stepping completely out of my comfort zone (and out of a plane!) to raise money for this incredible charity.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, you’ll be helping the Owen McVeigh Foundation continue creating memories, support, and hope for families facing childhood cancer.
Please help by donating and sharing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💙✈️
