Story
I'm running the London Marathon this April (the furthest I've ever run!) to raise money for icandance, a charity that has been a part of me and my family’s life for over 10 years.
My older brother Iulen joined icandance when he was 14, and it soon became one of his favourite places. icandance runs weekly sessions for children and young people with disabilities, using dance and performance to build confidence, encourage self-expression and connect with others.
When I was 14, I started volunteering at icandance. Closely supporting the same children each week, I saw how powerful it is to be in a space where every individual is embraced and celebrated for who they are.
What icandance does is important to so many families, and I hope to raise as much money as possible so that it can continue to be there for many years to come!
This marathon is for all who make icandance what it is - and for Iulen, and others like him, who are deserving of the biggest stage 🧡
