In Summer 2023, I started working at Leuchie House as a Care Assistant and have seen first hand the overwhelming impact of their work and the importance of Leuchie to guests and their families/carers.

Leuchie House is the only respite provider in Scotland to supporting people living with the long-term effects of conditions such as MS, MND, Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions. We do this through individualised respite breaks which provide an essential break for carers.

In addition to providing a break for families and carers and a change of scenery for guests, we work hard at Leuchie to reimagine respite as a life-enhancing service which delivers additional support to improve health, reduce isolation and enable independence.

With our specialist team, our enabling approach, our stunning location in the East Lothian countryside and our beautiful house, for short breaks with 24 hour care, Leuchie House really is one of a kind.
