Story

On the 1st of October I will be running the AJ Bell Half Marathon to raise money for Health Inequalities Research at the University of Glasgow.

Health inequalities are the unfair and avoidable differences in people's health across social groups and between different population groups. In the most affluent areas of Scotland, men experience 23.8 more years of good health and women experience 22.6 more years compared to the most deprived areas.

The University has a proud history of advancing medicine and driving forward medical discoveries that give hope and answers to patients, families, and society as we face the world’s toughest health crises.Your support towards the Medical Fund can help us continue to provide our researchers and staff with the best facilities and equipment to help inspire them to lead the way in groundbreaking medical discoveries in areas ranging from cancer to heart disease, dementia to mental health and so much more.
