Swim for Solace

Campaign by Solace Women's Aid (RCN 1082450)
Hop into the lido, the lake or sea and swim for 35 minutes, 35 lengths, or 35km in June. On average, a woman is assaulted 35 times before the police are called. That's 35 too many. This June, swim for yourself, swim for survivors, swim for Solace.

Story

On average, a woman is assaulted 35 times before the police are called. That's 35 too many. Domestic abuse is a cycle of behaviour and a cycle of violence. The repetition of events only makes it harder for someone to leave, get the help they need and the support they deserve. This June, you can help end this cycle. This month, I will be swimming 35km for Solace, which is a service to help women and girls from abuse and violence. Solace Women’s Aid offers free advice and support to women and children in London to build safe and strong lives.
