North Devon Hospice were invaluable when dad was facing the last stages of his cancer diagnosis.

One of dad's wishes was to be able to be at home at the end. With the help and support of the North Devon Hospice, the incredible nurses helped us care for dad at home and grant him his wish.

The North Devon Hospice provides an incredible service within our area for those facing a life limiting illness and end of life care.

Having experienced what the hospice provides first hand, whilst embarking on a self funded trip, I would like to raise as much as I can for the Hospice over the next nine months ahead of departing on a trip of a lifetime that will be tough both physically and mentally.

The longest distance I tend to walk is generally the length of a cross country course before I ride it with my horse!!! This is generally pretty flat and no high altitude!!

I am sure there will be a lot of training and blisters in the coming months and will keep you updated on my journey of preparation!

Please give what you can, no matter how small the amount - it all goes directly to the hospice which sadly a lot of us may have needed or might need the help from them in future times.

North Devon Hospice needs to raise approximately £7 million as year to function. I want to be a small cog in that wheel of fundraising to help them achieve that target.
