Story

On 6th June, I’m taking on the Munro Challenge to raise money for WaterAid — an incredible charity working to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere.

In my day job, I work on the Reservoirs Programme, helping to plan for future water resilience across the East of England. It’s easy to take for granted that clean water will always be there when you turn on the tap — but for millions of people around the world, that simply isn’t the case.

That’s why I wanted to take on this challenge.

Climbing Ben Lawer will be a big challenge — but it feels like a meaningful way to support a cause that’s so closely connected to both my work and my values. Access to safe water underpins health, education, gender equality, and so much more.

WaterAid’s work makes a tangible difference to communities, and I’d love your support to help them go even further.

If you’re able to donate, thank you so much — every contribution really does make an impact. And if not, your encouragement is just as appreciated!

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
