Georgie’s Windermere One Way Swim in aid of Catalyst

Windermere One Way · 19 August 2023 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 19th of August I am taking on the challenge of swimming the length of Lake Windermere in the beautiful Lake District in aid of Catalyst, a Guildford based charity that works to promote the mental health and wellbeing of people in Surrey.
At 10.5 miles, Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England!
As my family and friends, you will all know how much I love to swim, both in the pool and the open water. I felt inspired to take on this challenge to raise money for Catalyst, a fantastic charity whose values are: Kindness, Integrity and Commitment.
Catalyst is a charity organisation working with people who are dealing with issues stemming from drug and alcohol misuse and mental health – including housing, involvement with criminal justice, relationships with family and friends and getting back into work.
I am taking on this challenge in memory of someone who sadly lost their battle with alcohol addiction last year. I believe that anyone struggling with these issues should have access to the kind of support which Catalyst can offer.
Catalyst is a not for profit organisation and depends upon donations to provide some of it’s services. If you would like to support me in this venture and help to make a direct difference to people who may be struggling with their mental health and addiction, please consider donating.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page.
As Dory said…. “Just keep swimming!” 🐠🏊♀️☺️
