Story
In September, I’m taking on the challenge to trek to the highest peak in North Africa to raise money for the Willow Foundation, so they can continue their amazing work of fulfilling Special Days for seriously ill young adults.
This charity has a very special place in my heart as not only does it help create lasting memories & moments of joy for young adults and families that really need it when they’re going through their toughest trials, but I saw the impact the foundation had on one of my best friends Nicky Newman & her husband, before Nicky passed away.
For 5 days we will be taking on Mt Toubkal at a whopping 4,167m and I won’t pretend like this is going to be an easy one for me. After having stage 4 cancer twice, followed by 3 mini strokes last year & an injured knee to boot, the fear has set in! I have been unable to exercise for close to a year so the challenge is officially on!!
I know this is going to be one of the hardest (and most rewarding) things I’ve ever done but it’s the ‘why’ and your support that will get me up that mountain. Having a serious & life-threatening illness as a young adult is difficult beyond words so please help me by supporting all 8 of these amazing trekkers & the Willow Foundation and donate what you’re able ❤️
Thank you x
