Story
Way back in August of last year we signed up to cycle 300+km in 5 days across Cuba to raise money for Art for Cure - a Suffolk based breast cancer charity. At the time this seemed like a great idea...it's now January, it's cold, wet and windy and we haven't done enough training and we go in three weeks. Between now and then there are a LOT of training miles to do and we'll then shed the skiing mitts for the suncream as we head to Cuba which is hot (too hot for biking), humid, much hillier than Suffolk and often without electricity. Wish us two novice bikers luck!
Any and all money raised will go directly to Art for Cure (for the avoidance of doubt we have entirely self funded the trip).
About Art for Cure
Belinda Gray founded of Art for Cure after being diagnosed with breast cancer aged 47. The charity has now raised over £1million through the sale of art and sculpture and other fundraising events. The funds raised go to ground-breaking research into cures for breast cancer and into care and support for those undergoing treatment for the disease.
1 in 7 women are diagnosed each year and, through our work, we are making a difference to the lives of thousands of women and their families.
