Story
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page in support of the MND Association.
This cause is very personal to me. My wonderful father-in-law, Nigel, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease 18 months ago, a devastating shock to him and to our entire family. MND is an awful disease that currently has no cure. We need to find better treatments and, ultimately, a way to stop it.
I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the most amazing family. The positivity, love and support they show one another throughout this difficult journey has been remarkable. Despite everything, we have been fortunate to make so many wonderful memories together, and those moments mean more than ever.
In May, my incredible mother-in-law, who is a huge inspiration to me, and my gorgeous sisters-in-law all took part in the Exeter Half Marathon and raised an outstanding £12,000+ for the MND Association. I desperately wanted to join them, but I wasn’t physically ready. Who knew recovery after having babies could take so long!
Over the summer, I have slowly trained and worked my way towards being able to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon. I certainly can’t promise an impressive time, but I can promise that I will complete it!
Every penny donated will help support people affected by MND and fund vital research into finding better treatments and, one day, a cure.
I completely understand that everyone has lots of commitments and expenses, so even the cost of a coffee would mean so much to me and to our family.
Please help us find a way to slow down, stop and end this horrible disease.
Thank you for all your support.
