50 miles to show the world what 50 people can do
I’m taking on the challenge of walking 50 miles a week for a month - 200 miles in total - to celebrate Dimensions UK’s 50th anniversary, getting my steps in wherever I can: extra dog walks, a bit of pacing during Teams calls, and generally making sure I’m racking up steps instead of excuses. An extra challenge comes from my dog Zooma, who, despite his name, only walks in “perfect” weather and actually zooms nowhere - so if anyone is in need of dog walking, just say the word!
I’m proud to work for Dimensions, an incredible organisation supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities for half a century, and I’m fundraising for their Small Sparks fund. This amazing fund will give 50 of the people we support the chance to apply for a grant to do something truly life-changing - whether that’s starting a business, making their home or garden accessible, founding a friendship club, or travelling abroad for the first time.
Every penny raised goes directly to the people Dimensions supports, and I’d be hugely grateful for any support you can give - no amount is too small, and every step and every donation helps someone take a real step towards something amazing.
Thank you so much, it truly means the world!
George
