Story
✨Hattie✨

In September 2023, beautiful Hattie passed away at just 12 weeks old to Mitochondrial Disease, a condition most people have never even heard of.
Mitochondria are the power stations of the body, producing around 90% of the energy our cells need to function. When they don’t work properly, the body is left without enough energy to survive. Mitochondrial diseases are life limiting and currently have no cure.
I am taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon to support The Lily Foundation, who provide vital support to families and fund research into treatments and, hopefully one day, a cure.
Every 20 minutes, a child is born who will go on to develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16.
Thank you for donating in Hattie’s memory and for helping us fight this disease and give families hope.
