With a milestone birthday approaching, what better way to mark the occasion than a list of challenges to achieve before the big day! Number 33 on that list is to raise money for a cause I care about - which is why I'm abseiling 30 metres (that's about 100ft) down Bristol's iconic Avon Gorge!

I'm a lot more terrified than I'm letting on, so please do sponsor me so I'm forced to go through with it! All money raised will help tackle food insecurity in our region.

Did you know that right now, more than 1 million people in the south west are living in poverty. Meanwhile, 4.6 million tonnes of quality, edible food – enough for more than 10 billion meals – is wasted every year across the food industry, causing irreparable climate damage.

Every £1 donated could provide food for 4 meals – so whatever you can give will make a real difference.

I'm hoping to raise at least £274 as that can help pay for three meals every day for a year for someone living in food poverty.
