Story

** EDIT - Well Saturday was the day for the sky dive and it went absolutely perfectly!! The weather was unbelievably beautiful considering what we’ve had this past few months. And everything else just went like clockwork!

Amy, Lee’s wife gave me a lock of his hair to take with me while I did the jump. I spoke to him on my way down and told him how much he was sorely missed and I wish I was doing it with him for fun rather than doing it for a charity that was helping his widow and 2 beautiful young boys. I will never ever forget one of my best mates. I just wish I was around more to be there for him in his tough times!!

But none the less this charity is an absolute amazing cause!! This page is going to be open for 1 more month, so I beg you please help me in raising as much money as possible for this amazing foundation! For those who have already donated, THANK YOU doesn’t seem enough, but your generosity has been overwhelming and will make such a difference.

I love you Lee and will never ever forget you and I love all my friends and family so much too!! 😢 XXXX **

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I’m here today to ask for your help for a very good cause and charity called the Jacob Abraham Foundation who are raising awareness of mental health and suicide.

Alarmingly, 115 people die by suicide in the UK every week – with 75% of those deaths being male.  And this is why I’m now aware of this amazing foundation.

I lost touch with my good friend Lee ‘Bomb’ Thomas a while ago due to life getting in the way and being wrapped up in our own family bubbles.  However, I recently lost him for good when the demons in his head won the fight and he took his own life.

There’s so much I wish I would’ve done; should’ve tried harder to reach out, could’ve done the ‘Welsh’ thing of just dropping by when I was in the area, but I didn’t and for that I will always have regrets.

One thing I can do now is try to help the Jacobs Foundation by raising some money so they can keep up their important work, which at the moment is supporting Lee’s wife and young sons.

My birthday was only a few days after we lost Lee and one of my gifts was a Skydive so I thought that surely people would donate a few quid to see me leap out of an aircraft at a great height …. So here I am!

I totally appreciate how crap it is at the moment and the financial strain on so many of us in this current climate, but literally anything you can afford will help so much - thank you.
