Aoife was a beautiful, kind and enthusiastic daughter, sister and friend who wanted to raise awareness and share her experience while going through treatment for ovarian cancer. She set up her public Instagram page (eefas_journey) to do this and also organised a charity walk in 2022. Sadly, Aoife passed away the day before the walk. That year, we completed the walk in her honour on her birthday, and for the past three years, we have walked in her memory on the anniversary of her passing or the weekend closest to it.

We are so grateful for all the love, support and kind words we’ve received over the years.

This year, we’ll be walking again in Aoife’s memory, continuing her mission to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and to support Ovacare, a charity that meant so much to her. The walk will take place on Saturday, 21st March 2026, just four days before her anniversary.

We’d love for you to join us at Malahide Castle Demesne to celebrate Aoife’s life and the incredible person she was. Walking together, sharing stories, and feeling the love and support of everyone around us has been such a special way to honour her. We truly believe this is how Aoife would want to be remembered - with positivity, love and vibrant beautiful energy.

Ovacare was a huge support for Aoife personally, and we want to give back to them so they can continue helping others facing ovarian cancer. We also hope to keep spreading awareness about the symptoms of this disease because early detection can save lives.
