Prior to 2010 I hadn't really heard much about SSAFA and even when my husband joined up to the RAF I still didnt really understand what they do.

But in 2012 when we lost of son Archie SSAFA were completely on hand to assist emotionally and Fiancially.

They took aware the stress and helped us when we was at our most vulnerable.

This October I have signed up to take part in a charity boxing match, this is something I have never done (and potentially will never do again).

I raise money regularly for the Hospital that Archie was at but this time I wanted something different. I wanted to give back to not only a charity who have personally assisted me, but a charity that keeps assist Bristish Forces members.

Since 1885, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity has been a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Teams of trained volunteers and employees provide practical, emotional and financial assistance to the Armed Forces community to make sure they never battle alone.
