Born Survivor 2026 · 16 May 2026

NWCSG is a Lancashire based charity which provides holidays and social events for children with disabilities or additional needs who: need the opportunity to share experiences on a social level Have parents who need respite from their full-time care Would not otherwise have a holiday.

Story

I am joining colleagues from Gexcon UK to take on Born Survivor in May 2026. The event is a 10 km course full of mud, hills and military obstacles. We wanted a challenge that pushes us, but we also wanted it to mean something.

We are raising money for the North West Children’s Support Group. NWCSG is a volunteer-run charity that gives children with disabilities or additional needs a holiday with friends. These trips give the children time away in a safe setting. They also give parents and carers a short break. The charity runs close to the line, so donations have a direct effect.

I have supported NWCSG for some time and have seen how much difference these holidays make. The children gain confidence and friendships. Families get a few days to breathe. None of this happens without fundraising.

If you are able to support us, thank you. If you can share the page, that also helps. Your support keeps these holidays going for children who do not often get the chance to have one.
