Throughout February 2026, personnel and allies of the Ghanaian Heritage Network in the MOD are coming together as one Whole Force to undertake multi-location endurance events covering 5298km, the distance from the Unknown Soldier Monument in Ghana to the National Memorial Arboretum in the United Kingdom.

The events are a tribute to the shared military history between West African soldiers and the British officers who served alongside them, united in courage and sacrifice during the World Wars. Their stories are woven into our collective heritage, and this challenge is our way of honouring their service.

We are raising funds for the Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League (RCEL), who provide welfare support for ex-service men and women of Commonwealth countries who have at some time served the British Crown and who are resident overseas.

Every donation will help the Royal Commonwealth Ex/Services League (RCEL) continue its vital, life-changing work.
