Story
Every day, Suicide Prevention UK (SPUK) is here for those facing their darkest moments. Through their freephone crisis helpline, they provide support to anyone struggling with their mental health or thoughts of suicide. Their bereavement service helps families navigate the unique grief of losing someone to suicide, while their dedicated foot patrol teams in the South West bring vital face-to-face support directly to people in crisis. With your help, we can ensure that nobody has to face these struggles alone.
SPUK is a small, Bristol-based charity with a big impact, and the Gibe team is truly honoured to support them this year and the vital work they do.
Our Goal: Beat our previous fundraising record (£2,070) and make an even greater impact this year.
The Challenge: We’re taking on a series of fundraising events, with some epic incentives (and hilarious forfeits) along the way.
- Friday 20th March: The Harbour Run: Kicking things off, we’re running through Bristol to raise awareness, decked out in SPUK colours, making noise for a cause that truly matters.
- Sunday 10th May: Great Bristol Run: Some of the Gibe team will go the whole hog with the half marathon and some have signed up for the 10k! Either way, it's no walk in the park.
- July: During July we are going to work together as one team to move a total distance of 2000km. We will walk, cycle, row, swim, hop, skip, dance, shimmy, ski, crawl our way into success and help raise awareness and money for this great cause.
More fundraising activities to come this year, so watch this space!
Every donation counts. Whether it’s £5 or £50, your support helps provide life-saving services to people facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
Donate and make a difference for those in crisis.
Thank you,
Gibe Team
