UNICEF has helped save more children's lives than any other humanitarian organization.
UNICEFs lifesaving interventions and programs around the world have helped reduce the number of child deaths by 50% since 1990, and yet 17,000 children still die every day from preventable causes.
12-HOUR MUSIC JAM AT THE KABIN STUDIO: A CALL TO ACTION FOR THE CHILDREN OF GAZA
This Friday, 3rd November, from 2pm to 2am, the Kabin Studio opens its doors and hearts for a 12-hour Music Jam fundraiser in support of the children and families in Gaza. Organized and run by a collective of Youth Artists, Music Educators and performers, this event is not just a fundraiser; it is a demonstration of young and local talent, initiative, and solidarity with those suffering in Palestine.
Featuring a diverse lineup of local artists, including well-known names like Stevie G, Dylan Brickley, Rapha Olympio, Myles Gaffney, Tadhg Hickey, Ophelia, the stage will also be graced by teen groups Misneach, The Kabin Crew rappers, and young musicians from The Hut CDYS. Hosted at The Kabin Studio, the event promises to be a showcase of passion and community spirit. The event will be shared live on our Instagram, TikTok and Facebook pages.
Garry McCarthy, Creative Director of the Kabin Studio, shares his thoughts: “The Kabin Studio has been working directly with MC Abdul and his family in Gaza since 2019. Over the past few weeks, we have seen how this war has displaced and traumatized them, leaving them living in fear. As a community here in Cork, we are frustrated at how the international community is allowing this to happen. Through this event, we want to show that Ireland cares, and we stand in solidarity with the children of Gaza.”
Our goal is ambitious but crucial – we aim to raise a minimum of €10,000 for UNICEF's Gaza Emergency Appeal, ensuring that the urgent needs of children and families in Gaza are met.
