We’re raising money in honour of Belstone resident Gilbert “Gilby” Taylor, whose unforgettable 2021 ascent of Belstone Tor — supported by friends, family and North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team — became a shining example of community spirit, determination and kindness.

Five years on, we’re returning to the Tor to celebrate Gilby’s legacy and the joy that challenge brought to everyone involved. North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team is a volunteer charity that relies entirely on donations to stay operational, responding 24/7 to emergencies across Dartmoor and beyond.

By supporting this anniversary event, you’re helping fund vital equipment, training and resources that enable the team to continue saving lives in some of the most challenging terrain in the country.
