Story
I’m Gill Hoad and I’m a physiotherapist on the Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit Ward 9 at Wycombe Hospital and I have worked for BHT for 22 years!. I am a passionate neurological physiotherapist and really enjoy the challenge of treating stroke patients and working with the wider MDT to gain the best outcomes we can and to understand and reflect on their experiences.
I am running Race to the Stones a 100km ultramarathon race over 2 days in aid of the Stroke Unit. This is a new challenge for me as I have not completed this distance before and I know that I will need to dig deep, keep focussed and motivated to complete it and I often ask this of my patients too. I felt that if they could do it then so could I!
