Gill's fundraiser for Fareham Home Haemodialysis unit(WKPA)

Gill Stevenson is raising money for Wessex Kidney Patients Association
In memory of Paul Richard Bullen
The Wessex Kidney Patients Association was formed in 1976 by a few patients who saw the need for a support group. At that time there was very little or no information or advice available to kidney patients and their families. Thankfully, there is a much more enlightened view and patients are now encouraged to participate in decisions regarding their treatment. Patient Groups have representatives on many committees relating to the treatment of kidney failure. The WKPA continually seeks to improve the quality of care for kidney patients, both at local and national level. We provide information, help and support and welfare payments to our members.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am sure that everyone who knew Paul would agree that he was the most kind, loving, generous, funny and courageous man. He dealt with his kidney disease with strength and determination.

In 2021 we were offered the chance to manage haemodialysis at home. This gave us the ability to schedule treatments around our life which allowed us so much more freedom and time together. We are forever grateful to the Portsmouth hospital renal team and the team at the Fareham Home Haemodialysis unit for their support and care.

Your donations will be so gratefully received and will make a difference to the lives of many people just like Paul.
