Story
I am taking part in 60 Miles in March to support Teenage Cancer Trust.
As some of you know my granddaughter Lana has been having treatment at the Christie for cancer in her back. She has had 2 major operations, chemotherapy and is now having 6 weeks of Proton Beam Therapy. Thankfully she is nearing the end of her treatment and the tumour has gone. She has been amazing while going through the treatment. She hasn't needed a lot of the help available to her but I wanted to support Teenage Cancer Trust for teens and young adults who do.
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words you have cancer. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity in the UK dedicated to meeting this vital need so no young person faces cancer alone.
Every £25 donation provides an hour to talk. A Youth Support Coordinator provides the extra help young people need with things like studies, relationships and mental well-being throughout cancer treatment. £25 could pay for an hour of their time, helping them be there when they're needed most. Any amount will contribute to helping teens and young adults.
Thank you for reading my rather long post and please help if you can. Every penny counts.
