Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

When I heard that a group of our son Josh’s friends were running the Sheffield 10k in his memory, I was moved to dig out my running shoes (after twenty odd years) and get training so I could join them. I know Josh would have supported their choice of a charity. He worked for Shelter, trying to help often desperate homeless families, even through lock-down. He loved all animals, particularly his dog Babs who now lives with us.

We are so moved that his friends are doing this in his memory, we just wish he could have seen how much they loved him.

We are running the Sheffield 10k on 24th September 2023 in memory of our amazing friend Josh Adey-Rennard, who sadly passed away in September 2021. Josh was really passionate about the rights and wellbeing of homeless people and he was also a huge fan of dogs. It is for this reason we have chosen Street Paws as the charity we are fundraising for in Josh's honour.Street Paws provides free accessible vet care and support services to homeless people and their pets.Established in Newcastle in 2016, Street Paws provides:Free accessible veterinary care for people experiencing homelesness.Dog Champion Scheme to support hostels and temporary accommodation to welcome pets.https://streetpaws.co.uk/We would be incredibly grateful for any donations but we appreciate that we are living in austere times.
