Story
On 22 May 2020 my precious son Fin passed away, aged 11, from a very rare degenerative illness. Fin filled so many lives with joy with his love, sense of humor and resilience. I am immensely proud to have been his Mum and equally proud to honour his legacy in whatever way I can.
Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) were there for Fin and our family during the last few difficult years of his life, ensuring he had the best death he could have. It is my privilege to now honour Fin's memory supporting CHAS in whatever way I can, including being a trustee of the charity.
This year I am so touched that my colleagues at Blackadders LLP have voted for CHAS to be our charity of the year and I am so grateful to them all for this.
I therefore have decided to push myself to commit to complete a challenge for CHAS that really is going to take a lot for me to do. Everyone who knows me well knows I am absolutely terrified of heights. I can struggle going down an escalator! Therefore, committing to a skydive is something that I know will be a real challenge! However, in memory of Fin and with grateful thanks to CHAS I am going to do this.
Very grateful to any sponsorship you are able to give me. Moral support also gratefully received.
Those of you suggesting you would like to push me out the plane (you know who you are!) ..... I am open to auctioning this off to the highest bidder ...
In memory of Finlay James Donald .. love you always and forever wee man. x
